Position: President

Ed is a native Calgarian and has been the President of Edon Management since its incorporation in 1992. With over 30 years of experience in property management, Ed leads the company’s management team to ensure financial and operational goals are met, and resources are in place to achieve strategic business objectives.

Earning his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Calgary, Ed went on to receive his designation as a Chartered Accountant. He plays key roles in contract negotiations, strategic direction, business development, risk management and supporting the company’s culture of high service standards, partnership and continuous improvement.

Matthew Irons CPA

Position: Controller

Matthew oversees Edon’s accounting department. With over seven years of experience and a CPA designation, Matthew is able to successfully produce reports, provide financial guidance, manage and produce budgets, as well as provide leadership to accounting personnel.

He also works with business divisions to provide financial management strategies and client reporting requirements.

Tanya Shantz BBA, Broker

Position: Director of Asset Management

Tanya brings a wealth of knowledge to Edon after spending 18 years in the industry as a principal and real estate advisor within a privately owned, commercial real estate brokerage. Her experience and leadership are valuable assets to the organization. She is well versed in commercial lease negotiations, sales and business development, asset management, financial analysis, and marketing, which enhances customer experience and increases profitability across all business units. Tanya’s knowledge and understanding allow her to comprehend both sides of the business and lead the leasing and property management teams to achieve success.

Randy Hodl RPA, FMA

Position: Vice President, Corporate Services

As Vice President of Corporate Services, Randy draws on his in-depth knowledge of Edon’s business and the property management industry to ensure contract requirements and client needs are met through effective implementation of Edon’s systems and processes. Randy also oversees the project management department, ensuring processes are followed to deliver projects on time and on budget. Randy has over 30 years of facilities and project management experience, is a Mechanical Industrial Engineering Technologist, and holds an FMA (Facility Management Administrator) as well as an RPA (Real Property Administrator) designation.

Rod Dushnisky BA, B.Ed, MA

Position: Regional Director of Operations, North

Rod joined Edon’s senior management team in 2014 as the Director of Operations (North Region). He is responsible for overseeing various portfolios in Edmonton and Northern Alberta, including 12 contracts in excess of 10 million ft2. He leads a diverse team of senior managers, planners, project managers, architects, engineers, property managers, building operators, maintenance, and administrative staff to successfully meet client and tenant needs.  After completing a Master of Arts in resource management science, Rod spent over 30 years in the public sector in land management, property management, property development as well as strategic planning.

Tony Kuruvilla BSc, MBA

Position: Regional Director of Operations, South

Tony has over 15 years of experience in facilities management, project management, and strategic planning across the globe from London, UK to Qatar. He is experienced in managing large, multi-building portfolios serviced by over 100 staff and trades personnel. He is adept at developing asset integrity plans to efficiently manage and preserve building equipment. Tony is responsible for leading a diverse portfolio of sites and clients throughout Alberta to ensure building operations run smoothly, performance indicators are met, and value is provided to clients by identifying efficiencies and areas for improvement.

Paul Holscher HBA, NCSO

Position: Safety & Sustainability Manager

Paul is responsible for managing and improving Edon’s COR Certified Safety Program and Sustainability Program, including creating new policies and processes to reduce injuries in the workplace and increase building efficiency. He regularly performs audits and site visits to ensure legislative compliance and safety/sustainability integration with Edon’s culture. Paul achieved an NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) designation in 2013. Additionally, he has over 30 years of experience in property management and is well-versed in industry practices. Paul has been with Edon since 2004.

Position: Manager, Project Management

Neilesh is an experienced project manager in strategic planning, site development, design, construction, and commissioning. As a Professional Mechanical Engineer with more than 10 years of experience on construction projects across Western Canada, Neilesh bridges the communication gap between technical teams and ownership groups to execute high-quality projects on tight timelines within budget. He leads project teams to success by identifying challenges early and resolving them through a collaborative approach that leverages both his design background and ability to find cost-effective, creative solutions.

Position: Human Resource & Payroll Manager

With more than five years of experience at Edon, Nichola’s understanding of people management in the workplace helps Edon to recruit and retain qualified staff who are dedicated to their work. She provides support to managers throughout the organization on HR compliance and best practice, fulfillment of employee life-cycle needs, performance management, and guidance on employee relations in line with employment standards. In collaboration with Edon’s leadership team, Nichola leads the development of employment policies and people management programs. It is her goal to ensure Edon’s hiring practices attract talented professionals and team players, who receive training, development and career growth throughout their employment.

Position: Communication & Business Development Manager

Jenica leads Edon’s strategic communications and business development initiatives, playing a key role in helping the company sustain growth and manage its corporate presence. She has more than six years of experience working directly with senior management to advise corporate and operational groups on communications best practices and initiatives. She also manages requests for proposals and works with transition teams to execute contracts, ensuring obligations are met. Jenica has a Bachelor of Communication in Journalism and a Minor in Marketing, coupled with Digital Communications and Social Media for Business Certificates.

Jean Levasseur SMA, SMT, 4th Class PE, LEED

Position: Quality & Technical Support Manager

Jean has worked as a power engineer in facility operations for over 35 years. As Edon’s Quality & Technical Support Manager, Jean is responsible for quality initiatives across Alberta and supports all operations staff, providing them with guidance and technical support. In addition to his New 4th Class Power Engineers Certificate of Competency, he also has his BOMI Systems Maintenance Administrator and Systems Maintenance Technician designations. Jean is knowledgeable in energy and environmental practices and is an accredited LEED Green Associate. He is proficient at conducting facility assessments, benchmark audits and preventive maintenance audits. Jean is also involved with establishing preventive maintenance programs for new contracts. As a key player for Edon, Jean is responsible for ensuring the Quality Management System is followed, contract standards are met and successful operations systems are implemented.
